I picked up a Sirram Wasp picnic set at the weekend, which includes the Wasp, Kettle, burner, sandwhich box, 2 cups, saucers and tea spoons as well as meths container, milk bottle and tea caddy. I have looked on the forum and seen the kettle and burner, but not as a picnic set, has anyone seen one before ?
Hi Marc, I have seen these sets before, and they do come up at auction reasonably regularly but in various states if completeness. There are also several different versions of the actual burner units as you have obviously already seen in the reference gallery here. From what I have seen the greatest interest in the full picnic sets, especially those that are complete and in good condition, is from the veteran and vintage automobile community.
