    These are some not very good photos I took a while ago of a "Snail" stove in a second-hand shop in Ballarat, Victoria (Australia).

    As there is no other "Snail" stove in the gallery, I though I should add these pics even though the quality is not that great. There is a posting in the Reference Gallery of a "Snail" brochure from Bo Ryman:

    "SNAIL" circled by "Made in Japan" on the bottom of the tank:

    Tony, did you purchase it ? I could not resist the temptation especially when it's unusual and if the price is right.

    Cheers

    @Robert Bruce

    The price wasn't right... As in "The Castle": "They're dreaming"

    Tony, oh well they can dream on, someone may be silly enough to purchase it, or later it will be discounted.

    Cheers

    Is that the same stove?! From junk pile to the display cabinet. You really put some effort into that and the results are something to be proud of. Geez that's nice.

    Nice work on the clean up. :clap: I do like the rounded shape of the tank.

    That's too bad because it would be nice to see some flame shots before you retire the old girl to the shelf.

    Great job on cleaning her up.

    Does anyone out there know the history of this stove?

    Cheers,
    Norman
