...with the size of the avatar images. At least on my Mac they are too big and intruding into the posts.

    Cheers

    Feedback:
    FYI if you google search:
    cpl/ccs test site

the results may interest site administrators.

Additionally, insert a popular topic preceding that (ie Svea 123, Svea, Primus) and there are seemingly endless results

I noticed this searching SIGG ....

    CaptureTestSite1.JPG

    jus sayin'.
    thanks omc

One would have to ask why you were looking for the test site. Also did you follow a link and see if you could post?
Had the same thing on another site I bellong to although the test site had a semi random name and was found by accident. The finder thought it was a pirate site untill the site owner explained what it was. In that site though posts were mirrored in both directions which suggests some interesting code. The site owner wrote his own forum software from scratch

It's the test site for CCS/CPL as you guessed. It's where upgrades etc are tested prior to being deployed here. It used to be in a password protected directory but it was a bit of a PITA doing it that way. I normally leave it 'closed' but forgot! As a result google have indexed it. Originally it was a 'copy' of CCS but to slim it down it's had loads of content deleted but still maintains the custom code etc.

In order to test things it needs to be fully alive ie realish users of all types including the search bots. Life would be difficult if google couldnt access the real site or worse could see code that forced the results to the bottom of the pile or top of the pile in any search. You know how we hate the bohemian bride results in our stove searches. Imagine the uproar if a search for a boheimian bride found campstoves Maybe not so bad if it found lanterns to light the way to happyness

    @geeves ,
It was of interest to Ross and is resolved / closed, so our work is done here :content:.

re your: "One would have to ask why you were looking for the test site."
I was searching for older examples of SIGG cook sets incl. SIGG Tourist when I was surprised to see "SIGG... cpl/ccs test site".

    and
"Also did you follow a link..."
all the cpl/ccs links did open, into ccs threads.

    and
"...and see if you could post?"
    no.

    thanks omc

When I stumble across things like that I often like to have a little play to see if it ticks.

    TODAY:
FYI not a "problem" but FYI,
maybe dozen times today, while navigating CCS site I get an error.
ie "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." or 503 error.
I say not a "problem" because in each instance so far, I use Edge "<" back, retry and it works.

I've navigated 3 other sites today, so far only happens on CCS.

AND NOW I keep getting CCS red popup "ERROR OCURRED" as I type this post.
    thx omc
PS fingers crossed will this post

    Been having this issue too.

A testament to Ross and the IT team that this kind of thing is a rare and noteworthy occurrence.

Lots of 503 'unexpected errors' trying to engage with site today - one result is a reply on Vapouria 11 thread has now appeared 3 times after having apparently failed repeatedly:doh:
