Broad category this month but then again maybe not! Brand new, unlit stoves. I'm sure a few of you have some of these to show!

Post your nomination as a reply to this post.

    The rules.
    • Stove must feature in the Stove Reference Gallery (SRG) with a link posted in the entry. So now's the time to get those stoves photographed & posted! If it's been listed for years already that is ok too.
    • Maximum of 2 pictures in the entry. The pictures must show the stove in it's entirety. More pictures can of course be shown in the linked SRG entry - as many as you want!
    • Stove must be presently owned by the member.
    • One entry per member.
This nominations post will be open for the month of May. At the end of the month the post will be closed & the qualifying stoves placed in a blind poll for members to vote for. The poll will remain open for 1 week. Most votes is the winner.

The winner will get a SofM Winner notation on their posts & profile & a £10 voucher code from The Fettlebox

If this takes off & is repeated sufficient times throughout the year all winners will be entered into a Stove of the Year poll in January 2020. The winner will get a SotY notation on their posts.

    Good luck & have fun!

Unfired Coleman 417B WWII issue US Army Medical Department, featured in the Stove Reference Gallery HERE.

Having won the March Stove of the Month I’d like this to be deemed a token entry just to get the entries underway.

I thought - dammit even my boxed Primus 2063 with original 2000 propane cylinder from circa 1962 had one burner testfired once long time ago!
Took a look in that corner and found a 2393 I had bought just because it was so fresh - admit I had forgot it:oops: - boxed, unfired and fresh hose aroma when I opened the lid.
Need to take som photos and spam the gallery with propane suitcases and some butane backpackers:lol:

Just wait for it - I'll be back!

This is why I quit collecting stoves. These exquisite examples are totally out of reach in the US on a retiree pension.

@Sparky I'll certainly not be looking for an unused Optimus 9. :) Thinking more of something from the Lixada stable.

As I only have an rough unused Handi no 1 which is no where as good as the offerings above I will just vote. This will be the most difficult vote so far, such great stoves there.

    Cheers

    Maybe I acted too fast:-k
Today I found a beautiful Trangia NIB from circa 1990, opened but seemingly never completely unpacked - stuffed with a Camping Gaz burner from 1995 still in its bag, opened but never used!](*,)=P~:D

Haha I'm sure there'll be other categories they'll fit into though.

China post has been kind. :)

Now which one to enter this month......especially having found a NIB something which I thought I had test fired.
