@Johnathan That looks like a good meal

@Haggis I like the use of that big old rock . Also, there's nothing like hot tea on a cold and windy day to help the princess remember a day like that in the years to come

@afoton That is a well used kettle my friend

@afoton, @Spiritburner would be proud of that kettle. What's holding the carbonized remains of the handle together?

Went to a lake in the Blue Mountains, hiked around it and then made lunch and coffee DE994C34-7489-4441-AE1C-3464526ACA48.jpeg I had planned on bringing my Nova but based on Ed Winskill’s latest post I brought my Svea/Sigg combo. 87F65454-4148-47C8-8549-F285BFC7D1E6.jpeg I added a grate to hold things like the kettle 18336792-9330-452A-9D19-CCCFF217F57B.jpeg my hiking partner brought his eleventy one b. We had a cheese omelet, sausage links, English muffin, and hash browns. A nice finish to our short 2.3 mile walk. I will add that it was breezy up there, and the Sigg kept the flame steady. It was cooking as hot as the eleventy one. I had to dial it back to do the omelette. It’s a great combo.

@IvanN I like that grill top that you added to the Sigg. I agree with everyone else in that the scenery is beautiful. Your post made me realize what I'm missing in hiking. A hiking partner that is a fellow stovie :D/
