Suggestions for a vintage stove - Vespa camping trailer project

    I think it’s desirable that whichever stove you chose, it scales well with the rest of the project.

    A 111 is a great stove but is probable bigger than you want or need. I like the idea of an 8R, preferably an older model with the control knob instead of the key.

    You can probably find one of these for $100 or less. If it needs work, all of the parts for rebuild are still available.

    Then paint the case to match the Vespa and “Voila”! Or should I say “Bella”!

    This would get you going in the meantime. It can use an alcohol stove or solid fuel as well as the Sterno. 0caf65a78ba199a37a9a28b45c4c2a05.jpg . PaleohikerMD has a good video on it.

    Just a warning, I love my 111's and other similar stoves but the cases get extremely HOT so I would be careful about the surfaces you use them on whatever stove you decide to go with.
