Bought this SVEA 105 roarer on Ebay a couple of months ago.It was stove No 3. Arrived in fine fettle so needed minimum doing to it before it was ready for use. It joined my other other stoves (Valor 55, Optimas 5 1) Just added Burmos 21 Touring. Anyway here are some pics. I love this stove. Gotta be my favourite.

The Svea 105 was my first tripod stoves and it is still one of my favorites. A real gem! Nice find!

Hi Graham, nice photos of a true "classic" stove.

This Svea 105 would have been factory fitted with a silent burner, rather than the roarer it is now fitted with. The roarer "sister", which is more common, is the Svea 106 model.

There should be a reserve cap for this stove, which allows you to seal the tank once the burner is removed from the tank. This brass reserve cap is "parked" on top of the pump knob when not in use.

You have chosen some nice stoves for your collection.
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Hi Kerophile Thanks for your post.

I wondered if there should be, it was missing when I bought the stove. It came ready assembled. No major problem though as it will remain assembled as a working show stove. (Got 2 fishing stoves - Valor 55 & Optimus 5_1)

Planning to expand my collection by trying to add a representative stove from all manufacturers. Regards Graham

As Kerophile pointed out, this 105 would have been factory fitted with a silent burner. As this is one of my favourite stoves, I decided to try and reunite it with the correct burner. The Bay of Evil yielded up just what I needed.

So here, to complete the post are some pictures of the stove with its correct silent burner.

I just want to post a final picture of the silent burner. I just love the build quality of this stove and the perfect flame pattern.

Sorry about the poor picture layout in the earlier post. If and administrator can delete DSC1444 & DSC 1443 (twice) it will tidy up the thumbnails.
