    Wondering why this cap won’t work. I put a new cap gasket and a new pip on it. The pump I know works great with a different cap so I know that’s not the problem.
    Any idea? 06AA58EA-1CD6-4819-B92D-5FB1063365A5.jpeg 186C04B3-BB1A-4194-8DEA-F6987B50B452.jpeg

    They can still leak. Have you pressure tested it?

    Hi @Doug L
    Do not know if this helps, I have read in the forum, when other fetters changed seal & pip, they made a point of counting the turns of the grub screw as it was removed. Could it be too tight when refitted. A guess @ best, hope you resolve
    the problem. Best Regards, Optimust. O:)

    Won’t work in the sense of not allowing the tank to pressurise/hold pressure Doug, or not allowing the pump to shift air through it? If the latter, @Optimust has made a good point.

    Can you push air thru by holding the joined cap and pump or does it get difficult?

    So I don’t think I have a wrench to fit that 5 pointed screw on top but I was able to get working by loosening the spring sleeve. Who sells the wrench for that screw?

    @Doug L

    Those penta-wrenches are hard to come by. Don’t use a 5-pointed “star wrench” as these have been known to round out the brass. Some folk around here have made their own penta from a hex wrench.

    Look through this thread to see the cap taken apart.
