    Hi folks,
I recently made an impulse purchase at an auction - what was listed as a Primus stove, but turned out to be a Svea no 5. I know little to nothing about spirit stoves, and had not heard of the brand before. I have looked at pictures and catalogues and read various threads on the forum here and from that believe my £15 purchase is a 1970's model unless those with real knowledge disagree. There are no numbers underneath - just Made in Sweden. The pump has no makings and the filler/air control are just marked Sweden. The burner outer cover is marked Made in Sweden. The pressed steel platter is also marked Made in Sweden.

great buy made even better by the fact that you lite it right up.
sometimes silent burners are tricky with under burning or just fouled up.
