So I thought I would post some pics of this Svea Sievert #5 that I've had for about 7 or 8 years. I picked it up on the west coast of Canada in Victoria, British Columbia where I live.

A local collector posted pics of it here when I first got it but I thought I should post myself. As you can see I don't post much. I'm more into lanterns.

There is multilingual writing stamped on the side. When pics of this stove were
posted years ago, some people thought Turkish Cyrillic writing was present.

    Any insights or thoughts?

Would this stove be early 1900s?

    Shane

I have one almost identical stove, but it's a No. 14. Same cast-iron top, same burner (also, like yours, missing the inner hood and cap). That Mickey Mouse filler cap seems to have been on Primus, Radius and Svea stoves, well and truly pre-1920. I'd say around 1914 or so. Peter

I have a couple Sievert 16's with the external NRV. Never looked at when they were made.

    Welcome, @i_am_a_newfie.

Aren’t the graphics good on these old Sievert stoves?

    Cheers
