    Any and all comments welcome.

At times some say I'm A. "very observant" (in same hour some might also laugh at my B. having a, duh, senior moment).
Today is the first I noticed this, I'll guess I just noticed a fairly new feature? (A.)
or my dumb ass is on full display, again. ...(B) but I don't recall it's use or it ever coming up in discussion.

My impression is it is available to the author of a post only?

Members please do, review your own previous posts and I expect you will see the option (I can not see it when I view other's posts).

In either case I welcome comments from Ross or mods familiar or anyone familiar with ideal uses for this feature.
I could only guess and with zero confidence at that.
    thx omc

obviously the above post is complete.
after complete, I opened it and clicked on "add tags"
in the pop-up I typed in shagratork to add Trevor

I assume that created an alert to him?
    Is it a one-time alert?
I am one that adds my own line for tags at bottom of my posts so you might guess I find this feature interesting ?

while typing this I returned to above OP, in same area now hit "edit" and added igh137 Ian.

sorry to say I'll actually have to leave in a few minutes but like a bad habit. i'll be back to catch up with this
    thx omc

A feature of the new platform version I forgot to disable. it's for tagging content not people. It's something I'm going to be looking into before i enable it.
