    Well-made and effective, but it's the gorgeous cardboard box I bought it for and that gives it the status of an 'in-house' not just an 'in-shed' stove'.

    Fuelled up and fired up. Drew & Sons (English) kettle from around 1910.

    Love it! And the kettle too. Where did you find it?

    The stove is a great find and you have displayed it with you usual finesse.
    But I also agree that the box is the crowning glory! :D :thumbup:

    Brilliant
    Reminds me of the original "airwick" air freshener which in turn inspired one of my MYOG alcohol stove prototypes. Funny that.:content:
    I'm sure there must be proper name that circumstance.

    @redspeedster
    Synchronicity maybe?
    Not nearly as attractive as that word but probably nearer to what you mean would be simultaneous invention or simultaneous discovery.

    @Normo, who asked
    By doing a 'Worldwide' advanced search of ebay, which I limit myself to indulging in once in a while. I didn't have to fight off other bidders thankfully.

    Hi John, a very lovely little thing! Looks ideal to brew coffee on it" Bialetty style"...
    Btw, I might be completely wrong but I think the 'AALC-understripe ol' is short for the fuel name: aalcohol (we only use one 'a', so it is only a guess, I don't have a portugese dictionary:?). Never mind, it is a beauty!:D/:lol:

    All the best,

    Wim
