    Sorry to inflict more downtime on you. The current server issues are having a major impact on site performance & administration.
    This is going to be addressed Saturday 17 June. The forum will be closed from around 6am BST.
    I hope to have the forum open late the same day

    If you can see this post, then you are on the new server, and the site has been re-opened.

    :clap:!!!!!

    I was having problems with the time of response. Just one or two possible connections a day.

    Great!

    It just sometimes happens like that, me also. Someone will be along with an explanation, but not me. I know nothing.

    Well I've just this minute got on CCS. Still not hitting CPL yet.

    IT'S FAST!!!!

    Phone network & home ISP's are probably routing through different dns servers hence one works & the other doesn't. It is normally around 24 hours for all dns (Domain Name System) to update globally. Sometimes longer. This is the system that matches the web address of the site with the actual numerical IP address on the server. It's that IP address that has changed. It's like a digital change of address we're going through.

    Everything is fine for me.
    I did, however, clear out the Internet cache before I attempted to connect.

    Yes, but both the mobile, the Linux and the win 7 connect through the same network. I also cleared the cache with no result. Ditching win 7 :p

    Congrats on your success with both site upgrades Ross!

    My impression is janders issues remain and I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully most users will enjoy the fruits of your labor and the site's improved performance.

    For myself and others, recently while navigating within CCS it was fast and without delays.
    Another reason I'm posting is to mention that wow, now
    it's even faster :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

    That's interesting re DNS updating needs to catch up after updated site is already online, thx.

    FWIW: At first when site went down, we would link to [old] CCS site address with "CCS message" down for repairs.
    Much later, instead of CCS there was an internet "404 error [site] not found" dated May 17 :lol: ... (may have been date of initial server move). 404 error tells us webpage removed or moved, that custom dated 404 error message also included that the DNS needs to update.

    Thx again WELL DONE!!!

    @Spiritburner I'm experiencing major problems.

    Main page loads ok, but all sub-pages return an error stating that index.php cannot be found.
    Obviously (since I'm posting now) not a permanent problem, but it takes hours before it works again.
    Same behavior on mobile, Win 7 and Linux - so consistent this time.

    Hello Janders,
    I just want to share that you're not alone, after I posted above, there was a 2nd issue w/site that developed after CCS was back online. That issue that you described re sub folders was the same for me as well (and resolved fairly quickly thx Ross!).
    Best of luck omc
