Finally made a 'reliable and safe' conversion from the old rubber tube, to a braided tube with an EN417 tap - so I can run it on cartridges if I choose to. A new lease of life, I feel (the stove, not me!). Braided connectors come from China via ebay. Have been using them on other projects in recent years and have found them to be reliable. The blue adapter is from an EN417 lantern extension, also available on ebay. Cut this and put a thread onto the 10mm tube - thread size 10 x 1.0mm. Seems to fit the Titan female thread well enough. Gas grade PTFE tape makes sure the fit is gas tight.

Different mod on my other Titan. Better for packing. Full details of tap thread on fettling forum. OK it's 7mm x 0.75mm with 6mm drill into original hose end piece.
