I'm using my Trangia Duossal pots very often without the windshield and the pot holder. I was wondering that there is no frying pan which fits good on the larger 1,75 l pot. The original one from the 25 is much too large.
But when you grind off the rim of the pot a few mm, the pan from the 27 fits quite perfect!

Just wanted to let you know.
    Ciao, Bastian

    Cool idea... Very cool indeed!

It creates a set very similar to the old US Military 1953 Cook Set, with its stainless steel frying pan and and two bailed pots...

(Photo poached from the web, but I do have two of these cook sets.)

*Coleman's Army Surplus is selling the USGI Mountain Cook Kits for $14.95 USD [Grade 3].

I bought one from them a couple of years ago [Grade II] and it was hardly used. There were traces of dried instant coffee in the inside pot, which washed out easily. An Optimus 99 nestles inside the set very nicely.
Grade III may be more beat up.
They also have the Dutch ARMY stainless steel copies of the British Pattern 1939 rectangular mess tin, but they are quite proud of them [$$].

Does the pot holder still work OK with the smaller lip?
