    Hi
I found this on my travels on the www its a kit to fit a 111T burner into a Trangia 27/25. They also do one for a 111C. I reckon it looks pretty amazing. If you have seen it before I apologise but thought some of you might like to take a look as I haven't seen it before. Cost $30.

The burner/windshield fitting looks interesting (never thought of doing it like that). Wonder if they do one for an 8R bnr?
As for the 111 bnr/ Nova pump adaptor - old hat; had them for a coupla years.

    Hi Flyingpig,

I have the T25 and the Primus MF. Is there any chance you could post a photo showing your conversion? I may want to try it myself. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Manny

    Nice find Parra!

I'd like to put in a question relating to this subject:

When buying one of these kits, or when making other KAP-like frankenstove projects, which pump/bottle system is the best choice? I'm thinking of fitting all kinds of burners into trangias, but would rather choose a single type of bottle/pump/fuel-line assembly, to use with all of them. Which of the big brands is the strongest in this department, burners put aside. MSR, Primus, Optimus?

For the technically minded members here, would you be able to use butane/propane through the 111T burner or would you need to mod the jet?

In answer to the what stove in a Trangia question, I have three sets in place using the Nova, Omnifuel and one of the cheap Hong Kong multifuels, all work very well

and the minute i can find my hacksaw i'm building a TRANGIFLY and also a OPTIRAGON "BLUE FLAME" will post pictures when I've finished them and maybe i will build that SWEDARMYFLY i've been promising my self 8)
    8)

the seller offers 2 connectors one for the optimus nova and one for the primus omnifuel i have bought the nova combo but he will sell the primus adaptor separate so you have 2 choices, i'm seriously thinking of grabbing the omni fuel connector as well, then the first cheap one of either that i see is going to be mine ;)

    Parra:

That seems like the way I'll go too. Just get whatever comes my way first :)
Hope you find something soon. I'll probably not be so happy. Moving house within a few weeks, and am finishing my finals at the moment AND preparing fro my brothers wedding. No time for serious stoving at the moment...

    Rik:

I'm not up to speed what fuel goes in a 111T. From what I've read, though, any burner made for coleman fuel, should tolerate being fed with liquid butane/propane without adverse effects. This is what I plan on doing with a 8r burner when I get my hands on one. I'm thinking Grigory might have some knowledge about this.

I have asked for the Omnifuel version, so I will try a gas burn and let you know the results.

Hi Manny - here are those picts.

The nova-trangia adaptor comes with the U-shape bar and preheat plate on the bottom as you can see in this picture.
    th_DSC01041.jpg

Simply use the bolt from MF-EX to attach both of them to the bottom of the burner.

    From bottom...

The flame is hot enough even when using a big frypan on the top of the wind shield. I tried it with 2 pieces of steak and it works very well.

    Cheers........Som

I have no direct answer, but I have a theory; All white-gas stoves will run resonably well on butene (cannister fuel) but they may need preheating, or a careful start procedure.

My Coleman 400 and my Optimus Nova runs nice on butane.

Fillig the 400 with butane is quite tricky, the nova runs with an cannister adapter.
