    Hi all,

I recently acquired three two pint fixed leg stoves. Two are SVEA #5's and this one is a Burmos (5S?)

Can anyone help to assign its approximate age or year of manufacture? and confirm that it is a 5S?

It has all brass knobs unlike some similar models in the CCS library. When did the plastic knob on the pressure valve come into use?

There is a 'B' stamped on the burner nut.

There are no other marks other than Burmos and British made stamped on the Trivet, the silent burner cap and the filler/pressure release valves/caps.

    ...... and it runs well!

Any feed back/help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

Hi @Brassmonkey . I reckon it is a Burmos Silent Burner, probably made in the 1950s.

    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Thank you for your confirmation. 1950's feels about right given the brass knobs. I am very pleased with it and I am indebted to you as ever for patiently sharing your knowledge.

How is the weather at present in the far north?

    Kind regards

Hi, cold and damp after a bright day, here in the North.
We have had more settled and better weather than most of England so far this year....
    Best Regards,
    Kerophile.

Bright day down here but also cold and damp. Getting ready for some prolonged rain and floods. Thankfully I won't be directly affected by any floods. Just hope it does not impact others!
