I have a Montgomery Wards stove but do not know the year or model number. have tried to research it but nothing is coming up on this stove.

The top "lid" slides off the back of the stove, external brass tank on left side, 2 burners, have the tank pump but not the "key" for the gas valves on front of stove.

Montgomery Ward was early mail order company 1872 to 2000 and their catalogues are fascinating but hard to get many online, though often for sale online. By the time I used the darn iPad to post this your question has been answered. The stove needs an external pump I believe.

Appreciate the responses. I have the external pump .. just do not have the wrench/key for the burners. Have not tried to pressurize or use. Now I can do a little more research have a couple guys who want it and my model 2 Coleman

Definitely a Preway, I think a model 2. Uses a skate key for the burner valve. My model 2 has a usual hinged lid instead of a slider like yours.

Yep Prentiss Waber made these for Montgomery Ward. The same double burner and tank can be found in both brands. The big difference is no pressure guage.

Skate keys came around with the model 3 and model 4 single and double burners, and only during those years.
