    Hello,
like to show you one unusual handmade stove. Made probably between 1960-1980 in Czechoslovakia by worker in JAWA motorcycle factory. Despite weird look it was extensively use for hiking and camping for a long time.

Dimensions 9 cm x 22 cm with folded legs. Pretty heavy...

Fuel tank was probaly made from some oil filter can or small fire extinguisher. Note datk red colour paint used originally for JAWA motorcycles. Pressure pump, fuel cap and burner were reutilized from some old kitchen stove, but which? Primus, Meva?

In post-war Czechoslovakia, if you needed small outdoor stove, it was not always too easy to buy stock-new Meva 2140 or find old WW2 german feldkocher? What do you think?

The fuel tank might have been made from an old blow torch. That would simplify construction as it would already have a pump and filler cap. All you'd have to do is add legs and a burner. Regardless, it was well made by skilled craftsman.

I was thinking same as one option.

Burner is from a bit old stove since it has a dimple on spirit cup. Is there any text on burner or any stampings on nut of the burner?

BWT: On weekend I went to Estonia & Latvia. Just on border at Ainaži there was around ten Latvia Jawa motorcycle club bikers having lunch at service station that we stopped to get gasoline. They had nicely restored Jawas.
