Here is my new
Hope you like it.
Congratulations! I saw that stove on eBay but hesitated. I'm glad another CCS member got it. Please post your photos in the Reference Gallery.
Congrats Fernando! That's a beauty.
I have been got three
Congrats! I'm Happy, that you found your own Valmet, with a box and the intructions!
Can you compare it to juwel 22? I think, that there are many similarities between those two...
It reminds me more of the french Vesta. Unlike the Juwel 22 both the Valmet and Vesta are non-pressurized stoves contained in a hinged case with no assembly required. Just open, prime, and use.
Yes, I can see the similarity on the whole pack, but the fount and the burner assembly is closer to the Juwel.
There are some stories, that the Valmet stove was based on a stove, that finnish special forces ("kaukopartio" In finnish) used during ww2, behind the enemy lines. Could not find anywhere, what those stoves were.
Allso Germany and Finland were allies, so german made stove would be more suitable for origin model.
Only for size comparison
By the way this Valmet stove feature in our Reference Gallery is currently up for auction on Tradera.
.. It's the same, that was posted here couple of weeks ago. Bought from Finland and now for sale In sweden. Looks like the seller Is making double the price, that it was sold before.
