I've decided to leave this one with it's coating of patina and grime for the moment . I have a couple of shinier 1 pint stoves. Replaced the deal seals, NRV pip and leather cup. The NRV was slightly different to other ones I've come across with a protruding pin at the base of the NRV.

I do like the door on the windscreen.

It came with a grubby instruction card.

Running very rich. It was also coughing and spluttering badly I put a pricker in and it wasn't a close fit so the jet is well worn and I suspect that the burner is coked up as well.

After a bit of playing around with the spare burner and riser it burns a lot better. The burner with the better jet had a riser that didn't completely seal on the tank; it would weep kero at the tank join. After playing mix and match a bit it now runs better without leaking kero provided the riser is done up fairly tight. Still slightly yellow tips, but no coughing, spluttering or exciting puffs of incandescent carbon.

    Hi @gnome
That's brilliant! I have a few of these, as well as the RM's which were "siblings". One of mine came to me in the rustiest tin imaginable and with a tide mark around the tank, presumably where it had sat in water (maybe in a leaky shed?) for a long period. Like you, I hadn't the heart to clean all that mystery away, so when it came to re-fixing one of the leg supports, I glued it with epoxy resin. It was all about keeping the patina - nothing to do with my p*ss poor soldering skills, honest! Others that I have of that model look to be unused. I think they are a really nice stove.
