    I like the roar. Lets me know how the stove is doing while I take care of other tasks.

    Were I to get a silent cap, a BD cap is the only one I'd consider.

    If I feel the need to take a silent stove the coleman 422 and 505b do great service. If not then enjoy the sound of the stove played like all good rock music. (LOUD)

    The silent caps look pretty but personally I don't mind the noise of a roarer, in fact I like it. Also the silent caps are not as good in the wind and with my poor hearing I might forget to turn it off.
