Same thing. The 99 is an 8R with an aluminum skin job, same internally.
I bought a nearly identical kit last year, but it had a Soviet era ''Prymus PT-1'' sticker on it, and included a stainless steel 4'' x 4'' diffuser plate and a small plastic funnel. Only used the funnel yet.
Katadyn markets an "Optimus Spare Parts" kit for SVEA/HUNTER. No wick, no flamespreader. But it has the jet/nipple, cleaning needle, metal ring, spindle, graphite packing, stuffing box, and fuel cap gasket. P/N: 8016526
    SKU: 879853002918. Usually $20 - 25 USD.

    SveaSizzler thanks!
I plan on semi-fettling my 99. She's around (I think I got it in 1975) 40 years old and needs some love!
And am now studying the parts I'll need.

Just make sure that the kit is not NOS, and that the seals may be old and hard.

I bought one last year and the washer for the tank lid is too small in diameter. Doesn't stay in place.

Good heads up, Ken. The Optimus kits with the Orange label stapled to a small plastic bag are pretty old, although I found one cap gasket, printed SWEDEN all over, that was still good. The Katadyn/Optimus spares can't be too old. Stuff from the Ukraine, probably had Kruschev's picture on every bag at one time. [Pasted over Stalin's.] And now an Optimus decal.
    What brand was this, JP2?

For the wick, I bought that at Walmart for 3 bucks and after the capillary test. Work very good.
    Make sure it is cotton.

I most add that beside the washer that fell down all the time when you unscrew the lid, the kit do it job.
But I hated to look after a washer.
    Have a good day

Hopefully Fettlebox will step in with a comment on the many orders I've place there. OK?
Historically I did make one, got the advice here on this forum to see a butcher for 100% cotton
    twine used in meat wrapping.
Nice to do and have knowledge. Also nice to have one ready to go for if/when eh :)

The Viton gaskets I've gotten from Fettlebox are first rate.

That is usually not done directly in a thread. A PM or an email would be better.
    And it is @Spiritburner

I just checked. My Ukrainian gas cap gasket was too hard to use. Sort of flexible -- like linoleum -- but not like neopreme rubber.
    Trying one from Ross.

Thanks, I bought the Ukrainian kit for the steel heat diffuser. Yes the seals/pips are trash.
The square diffuser was worth the freight, since it also fits inside the Swedish military alco burner and allows an Esbit espresso maker or Moka pot to work inside the ''snuskburken''.
