Take a look at item # 3630728524 on ebay. It's a fairly normal looking repro stove but is equiped with a torch for preheating like some lamps..

Is this a common thing amongst the newer manufacturs stoves? & what should I look out for when using it. Anyone have any thoughts on the stove or brand?

Well, I'm just a stove newbie but the case was pretty neat! When you receive it, would you comment as to build quality, operation, etc? It looks like a nice stove!

Park Soo Tae from Korea has a fantastic collection of stoves including many Korean brands - these include innovative dual silent/roarer burners & many detachable rapid preheaters. He is the seller of the stove you mention.
His collection can be seen on this site at -

Don't forget the new site search engine (see right of page below main nav links). Putting Annby in the search box will bring up info on manufacturer & Park Soo Taes collection

I found that right after I posted on the board. feeling sheepish Some great stoves in his collection. (I expressed as much in an email I sent him right after)

I will give a report on the craftsmanship of the Annby stove when I recieve it and am able to play with it. (4 to 6 weeks ship time) *yikes'ith*

Any tips on playing with the rapid lighter? how's it work? & am I likely to blow myself up of get a N'th degree burn using it? Thou I expect that it won't be more traumatic to light than my old SVEA 123, I'd still dig getting a few tips on it..

Korean Stoves

The Annby Stove is very interesting! Some of the other Korean Stoves look like decent " Knock Offs" of some of the older Swedish Stoves. The Lion 124 looks like a Army issue coleman with a Phobus 625 burner thrown on. The Lion 600 looks like a Optimus 8r or maybe closer to a 199.
I must admit to being a Swede fan over the Asian stoves. BUT, the Asian stoves look great and having both a silent and roarer burner on some of their stoves is a nice touch!!

Lighting

Lighting these stoves with a blow torch pre-heater must be the same as what is on lights. I have never used one on a stove.
What must happen here is after you pump it up, turn on the fuel tap light the gasses comming out or the blow torch.
This is pulling the air and fumes off the top of the fuel. after your stove is working you will have to pump it up again because useing the torch will drop the pressure rapadily
