| To a swap meet at Morisset this morning and found a stove that does not seem to appear in the data bases.
Made by Lion Stamping Co Ltd, England, brand LEO and TECNICO. It is a kerosene version of those modern stoves in a carry case which take a gas cartridge, only this has a fixed internal kero tank. The burner rings are missing, at least I am guessing that it takes the usual style, only they would have to be bigger, a normal outer ring fits where the inner ring would appear to go. Any ideas? The vapourised fuel comes in at the side into a sort of metal bowl, and the rings I suppose sit on top.
Other find was a Primus No 1153 carry can/windshield, with a Lux roarer stove inside.
I will send pictures when they are cleaned.

Today, Easter Monday, to the markets at Wollombi, 50km west of here, but 95km by road. Found a pre 1911 Primus with a spirit cup somewhere between the hemisphere type and the usual half donut type. Also a sexagonal nut ending to the pump assembly.
And what I think is a fake Primus, font made of iron, only markings a raised PRIMUS, instead of the screw on type end to the pump assembly it has a bayonet socket type. Painted gold to resemble brass.

Wow. That's unusual. I'v never heard of stoves with iron tanks. Did some companies make Primus ripoffs then? |
