Coleman Alum 3 burner

I had a pretty good run today.I weht to a flea market in Delaware.Today started out raining so I thought it could be promising.Flea Market sellers seem more reasonable in bad weather.I started at the rear and noticed a guy set up at the far end of a very muddy lot. Nobody was venturing that far into the mud so off I went. The guy had a #443 Diamond logo Alum. three burner. That is a pretty rare Coleman. Five dollars and he threw in a Coleman propane lantern for two more. I took them back to the car and went back in.Keep in mind the wife is sitting in the car.Next aisle I picked up a #502 again five dolars. The guy said he hated to sell it because he was using it to heat his van.Took that to the car .Went back in and finished the day with a twin mantle table lamp of unknown origin for Fifteen. The down side was I had to clean the car when I got home from very muddy shoes. The wife in the car is the surprise !

Dan,
How did you manage to keep the wife in the car while you tracked around the flee on a wet and rainy day? Was shoe shopping in your future?
Other than that, nice score on the stove. I have looked at the 442 (two burner) stoves up for auction in recent months but, over a $100.00 is out of the question for me. You did well with the lantern thrown in to complete the deal. And the 502 for 5 bucks was a bonus. I have been waiting for a better weather to hit up the flee in Columbus. I struck out at an estate sale and a church rumage sale recently so I figure I am due for a winner in the future.

She opted to stay in the car.the New Castle Flea Market gets Chesapeake Bay weather (Wet and Windy)I entered the market with very low expectations.I now find the lower my expectations the greater the finds. A fellow collector who I deeply respect said The fun is in the hunt! So good hunting Chuck! Dan

April 4 2004, 1:19 PM

Handi Not yet I exhausted all the on line images I know of and haven't found a match. The lamp has no marks of any kind on it. I have to reload my web cam software after my crash last Friday. Then I will at least have some low res. pictures. If I can get a pic. Neil will probably have an Idea what it is. I am baby sitting the 4 year old Grandson so Poppy doesn't have much time on line Dan

Lights and stoves

April 5 2004, 1:46 PM

Dan, am I interest in lights, I think so. I have about 153 stoves, 408 lights to be exact also a few blowtorches, soldering buts, laundry Irons and a few garden sprays. Also mantle clocks, silver ware, furniture (that I restor). The list goes on. I like anything that is old. I think to my self what age is the next woman going to be that I find? (I do have limits)
