| I took the burner assembly off of the stove for transport,
and found a brass tube 1/8" in diam., is this a nessesary component?

It depends where the tube iss. If it goes down into the tank it is to ensure that liquid paraffin goes up to the burner. However this tube should not come out with the rising tube. If it is inside the rising tube someone has added it and it can be removed. I would keep it in case it has been used to cure some obscure problem but I cannot think of any purpose it could serve. |
