Hi Doug, removing soot from the burner: https://classiccampstoves.com/threads/11574 See P.41 of this catalogue. Best Regards, Kerophile.
Wow I would love to get a silent burner insert for my 96 is there anywhere to get one ,anyone know? My no 5 one is way to big..
@Dancman Extremely rare. Primus part No.4200. For a time, ace craftsman Bernie Dawg (USA) hand-crafted an equivalent. It fits the paraffin-fuelled ‘96’ stoves but also the self-pressurising naptha-fuelled ones such as the Svea 123/123R. Those of us who have one tend to hang on to them! John
That's a miniature work of art John, Gary is a very talented gentleman. I've got quite a few of his 3D printed silent caps but I'm not fortunate enough to own one of his hand made beauties.
Yeah Rob, he set the bar high right enough. Though he generously provided constructional details and dimensions HERE I’ve not yet had a go at making one. Getting there … domed inner cap for a Primus No.4 silent burner … multi-drilled outer cap for a Tilley CS56 I’ve just to combine the two some time!
