Did the coffee pick up enough flavour for you to tell what the barrel was originally used for? I know that bourbon barrels get charred on the inside, used once then many are exported for use in Scotland! Cheers John
John Afraid not, its been used as a water butt for years, I decided to change its use as it was just a breeding ground for the dreaded mossies! It's going to be used as a temporary store during the better weather for stoves, fuel lamps etc. that I use in the garden. I am going to put a shelf in it, my son suggested I use it as a smoker? Cheers Nick
Looks like you can pack your tent, back pack and food for a few months into your wind shield when you do go on your next hike. Hope you have a strong heart!
