Hey, Trevor, I had a little time today, and have been enjoying perusing goodies here in the Reference Gallery. I have NO idea how I missed your posting of this lovely little set, originally, but I'm very happy to have stumbled up on it today!! Excellent bit of kit, and in lovely condition, too!! I do recall that you and I both love the older Meths stoves, and so very much appreciate that you have shared this one here! Ha! @Doc Mark @presscall Kind words from you both. I posted the photos in 2008 and I would have done much better if it was today. The trend (thank goodness) is to post many detailed photos of a stove so that the reader can see and recognise all aspects of the stove. This little stove (it is very small) is one of my favourites. I love the way that the cast iron trivet has 'Houchin N.Y.' built into the trivet casting. It is also a relief to know that this stove is 'Non-Explosive'!
Seems to me you did exactly that Trevor. Yes indeed, that trivet casting is exceptionally fine. For something essentially so simple and mundane, the whole package conveys a manufacturer's pride in their product and an exuberance and confidence in design and manufacture.

John, many thanks for owning up to also missing it, as it always feels better to have a good Mate admit that I was not the only one! I love the way the entire kit fits together so perfectly! Stellar design, the integration of which is pure genius, me thinks!!
