Optimus No. 3

    Found today at a car boot, an Optimus no 3, an oversized no 5.S
    Still in as found condition but there's a local fettler who'll be getting it dropped off to this week.

    I've put a no 5 in the photo to get an idea of scale.

    Looks like a good example, judging by the fact that the pot rest/legs are often corroded by the intense heat. Only needs a flame ring and cast iron pot rest is available (at a price) from Base Camp. Not a run-of-the-mill No.5 either, but one with a regulated burner, which is a great user stove.

    Excellent photo. I envy the sunshine wherever you are. Raining all day in Lancashire.

    Thanks John ,just started raining here ,I've passed the stoves on to Stu so i'll expect they will be gleaming soon...
