Spent the morning fettling. Got in a new Prabhat two-pint from Garrett Wade. Typical Indian stove issues - very poor pump leather, dodgy NRV, two leaky lead washers under the riser. It's not my first time in this rodeo, so soon sorted. Do they pack the jets with mud before shipping? That being said, Prabhat may make the best of the current Indian discus stoves. They are attractive, nicely polished, and collapsible. They are a relative bargain for what Garrett Wade charges, and need little work to make them work well. I have never had one function correctly out of the box, however. Got in a nice enamel trivet for the 1 pint Manaslu 121 from Julian Shaw in UK. Could be a little better, but could be much worse, also. Still fretting over pot stands for the Optimus 45 and 48. Mr. Shaw sent some, but they are too large in diameter. I suspect I could turn them down when I get access to a metal lathe again. Where to get the proper fuel cap washers for Optimus 45/48 also? Mine are not good, but nothing I have in inventory fits. PMs please. I have great hopes for the 48. Also, who is the Turkish master of pump leather? I've done business before, and know his product is without peer. I know he's a member. PMs again, please.

Sefa was making a posting here last year that due to work abroad he is not able to make any pump leathers for now. If he is back in Turkey or not I do not know but I have not seen any information from him that has said that. Michael
Ross makes excellent pump leathers and sells them in 'Fettlebox'. If you have special requirements, such as an unusual sized pump leather, you can contact him here and have a custom-made leather.
Every time I've attempted to order pump leathers from the Fettlebox, the cost of shipping has exceeded the cost of the items. I was waiting for some items to return to stock to make my order worthwhile. You in the UK pay dearly for shipping.
I have not experienced that issue. I find parts from The Fettlebox in a small envelope or as small a box as the parts can fit in and postage was nominal. Ken in NC

I tried to order some this morning. I thought I'd get 5 to try them. £5 for the cups, £5.20 postage. Not at all out of line for UK shipping, though. Minimum to the US via Royal Mail appears to be about £3.20. Not an indictment of Fettlebox at all. I need a couple flame rings and stuff, so I thought I would wait for stock. After much frustrating fiddling, I simply removed one. No leaks. Barring that, I was going to get some lead sheet and make up a thicker one. Not that difficult if you have the appropriate punches. This is the third Prabhat I have had (two two-pint and one four pint.) All have had identical issues: really poor pump cups, dubious NRV, and the double washer. That being said, I wanted a big stove, and ordered a one from India - Maltex brand. It arrived looking like it was hit by a truck. Very flimsy brass, wretched threads, washers made of some sort of cord dipped in a gummy substance. The Prabhats are quite respectable stoves as users, and build is much nicer.
OK, I didn't think that I would ever find a pump cup to match Sefa's. Just got my Fettlebox order. Ross is indeed a Grand Master in the leather line. We are not worthy.
