I love making coffee on my stoves, and love coffee percolators.
What do you think is the best coffee maker for a camp stove?
This is all about your opinion so anything goes.

The classic Bialetti-type Moka Pot (says the man who most of the time drinks Starbucks Via when camping...)

Depends on the camping, car camping with family I use this. Not very exciting but makes good coffee.
I'd like to find a all metal syphon coffee maker, like a stainless Cona size D

Backpacking I use a filter bag like these. Wash out and reuse.

    @Detroithiker

This is the second best - a "Bialetti"-type espresso maker:

The best is the "Atomic" (I haven't got access to a field photo at the moment):

Please stop posting pics of the Atomic, dribbling on the keyboard messes it up. :(

Of what I already have, Bialetti. Mine are stainless.
@Tony Press send me your Atomic so I can test it out for the next 10 years. :)

Agree with @redspeedster. But also our version of "camp coffee" is a standard aluminum pot, throw away the percolater stuff. With six cups of cold water add seven heaping teaspoons of ground coffee. Heat just to the boiling point, but don't boil. Let sit for a minute, then enjoy. coffee pot.JPG

You would surprise me @BradB if you didn't have a Bioletti.

It may not give the optimal water temperature for espresso making, but for everyday use you can't fault them.

Process exactly the same as the machines you have in coffee shops, force hot water through the grounds. Sealed boiling pot at the base with water forces it through the coffee in the container in the middle and coffee delivered above ready to pour.

Or you could pack one of these....

@snwcmpr , how is the stainless steel Bialetti holding up? I saw some reviews said they were made in China of their typically bad stainless that likes to rust.

Pezzetti deffo - my Svea 5 has literally just fired up a brew, not thumping it with power and just easy on the flame gave me a 35cl cup of coffee in under four minutes

    Bialetti?
    Awesome. Described above.

All of mine are older thrift store finds, or ebay. Vev Vigano and Bialetti.
I buy or make high temp silicone seals.

"Best" is subjective for sure. Too many ways to make coffee.
For car camping, I just use a Trangia kettle and a Bodum french press.
If I want 'espresso type' coffee, I'll use one of the several different sized Bialetti style makers I have.
I also have an ibrik if I want to make some Turkish coffee. It's good to have a stove that is capable of a very steady, subtly adjustable low flame for this style of brewing.

Single shots are fun on short hikes.
