I read it through quickly. The one thing that got my attention was 'suicide by stove'.

 

Most burn injuries and household fires are caused by cooking devices...be it electric,liquid fuel or LPG. Also wood heating in some countries.

 

They used the term Primus as a catchall name for all of these style of stove. And they mentioned manufacturing defects as a high percentage cause of failures resulting in death.
Bad promo for the name Primus.

 

At least they mentioned it as generic Ken. I don't recall seeing 'death by Hoover' but would potentially have the same consequences you mention.
