An Optimus 99 was the stove that triggered my interest in stoves 8 or 9 years ago, I sold that stove and have regretted it ever since. Found another one on the Craigslist, which I awkwardly bought in a driveway, trying to social distance. Came complete with the windshield, pot grabber and unused mini pump! My last 99 had a different strap, this one appears to be original A minor cleanup, fresh cap gasket and fuel had it running nicely Glad to have one again. It’ll accompany me on some trips into the hills and on the river this year for sure.
I have the same regrets. Had both a 99 and a 199 that I sold. I regret selling them, but not the money I got for them...
Looks like you found an awesome example of a 99, and made a great deal. Must admit to strap envy here,,, my 99 is in dire want of one of its own. Stoves are worse than children,,, one of them is always crying about needing something.
I could be wrong but I thought the straps were from a different manufacturer. Never saw an Optimus strap but I like it. I couldn't find the colored straps anywhere but found metal Arno straps on E Bay.
The 99 is a stove I don't mind having two of. Optimus got it right with this stove. Compact size with useable cook pan and wind screen, no floppy door like the 8r or feeding the key into the wind screen on the Svea 123. Stay safe Daryl sunny Socal

looking for a strap for me 99 stove, found me old camera, it still works, so played around with it, then took strap off, got it to fit, job done,
I loved my Olympus OM1. I was very sad when the digital world overran it. But I do love my Canon 77D!
got a new batt in mine, i do use it now and again, just wind it on, focuse in, spilt sceen, press button, no film in, just love playing with it,
