A Radius 20, the end product of a trade with a member here, from Norway. On duty this morning heating water for my porridge oats,,, just a great little stove.
Great flames, Tantra and Haggis. @Harder D. Soerensen I 100% agree. One of the things that really stood out about this forum when I'd just joined was someone offering to trade me an Optimus Nova in significantly less than stellar condition for an XGK, in my favor. Very, very kind of them.
This trade was shamefully lopsided, in my favor,,, but I’ve made a friend I think,,, and we have beards in common as well...
@Haggis Glad to hear you feel that way - I feel I made the better deal based on availability... Must have been the perfect swap...
Hadn’t lit this Optimus 96 in a while, but it lit straight away,,, and with the heat going, a small pot of water was added for tea... Nice little stove that never gets enough attention...
At only 14 years old the stove isn't yet a classic, but its design, durability and heritage certainly are to me. Just in today, quick checkover, add gas, and it performs as it should, love the band of blue flame. Cheers
@esphojo You may be able to straighten that burner by putting the hex nut in a vise and carefully pulling the burner to the (approximate) correct position. I’ve done that on a few burners. Tony
