I live way too close to Kentucky to drink anything but bourbon. Don’t know if it will burn in a Trangia in a pinch.
Mike Ridout, the service tech at MSR in the 90s, told ma story that he cooked chili with tequila in an XGK. I do not recall the story, but the fuel part. MSR is not known for use of alcohol in their stoves. But, I believe him. @Doc Mark Ken
Evening, Ken, @snwcmpr , I knew Mike, too, and in fact, he retro-fitted my MSR Firefly with a nice, long brass mesh covered fuel line, and it still works like brand new!! If Mike told you that, I believe him, too. He did not come across as a BS'er, and we very matter of fact. I wish I could locate him, as I am certain he can tell us many great stories of MSR back in the 1980's, and 1990's!! Take care, and God Bless! Every Good Wish, Doc
Hey Harder, I heard if you run cheap vodka thru a Brita filter pitcher for a couple of passes, it comes out smoother with each pass. My brother told me about it.
