He does not seem to tighten the burner onto the tank very well could that be it ..flames coming from tank ..would also explain why he has to pump soo much
At times it looks like some kind of madness. This flame and this "order" on the table , around the stove.. I would rather not continue pumping after the first flare just let off the pressure, but maybe I don't know....
In my experience of 96's, they need a good preheat and then a gentle amount of pressure to get them well warmed up and vaporising the fuel before turning up the pressure for proper operation. He pumps it rather a lot to begin with which would likely result in a rush of fuel not vaporising properly before exiting the jet, still in liquid form. This would likely burn yellow (too rich) and some would drop and fill the priming cup with paraffin, which then burns rich and stifles the burner of oxygen, causing a rich mixture at the jet as well. It is false economy to carry on pumping until it clears. Turn it out, let it cool a bit, clean away the liquid paraffin and start again with meths in the priming cup. Moderate pump pressure results in slow fuel transfer, results in better vaporising and burn, results in quicker warm up overall without the wild spectacle and black soot deposits everywhere. Then, when you have a blue flame, slowly increase the pressure until you have a good hot and stable flame. Just the way I would do it, but then I am not into creating spectacular videos on YouTube.
No he doesn’t, not remotely so. Barely a splash of meths in the primer cup, the air screw shut and ten seconds of pre-heat before ridiculously vigorous and prolonged pressurising of the tank. He makes a point of wafting the assembly and operating instructions about at the outset. Hasn’t read them, or knows exactly what he’s doing and wants ‘hits’ and subscribers, in the manner of ‘jackass’ videos and an insatiable audience for such stuff.
'Cos it makes an exciting thumbnail in the hope of gaining viewers? Not something I'd click on as it smacks of either incompetence or attention seeking.
Cheers guys So too much pumping in the beginning..not enough pre heat the air vent screw done up on preheat and possibly not done the lipstick up tight enough..Well he certainly seems to know what he's doing mmm
