Primus 210

    Greetings
    Got the Primus 210 up this evening. It occurs to me that Sled Dogs , Vintage stoves and Canoes are not that far apart. I understand that boats and stoves are inanimate objects but.. Sled dogs want to run, Canoes want to be on rivers and liquid fuel stoves want to BURN!. Guess its about the "JUJU" factor.
    Anybody have specific advise on the best sourcing for replacement nozzles for a Primus 210?

    The nozzle (or jet)doesn't appear from the picture to be burring excessively rich no signs of yellow flame, but if the power is down as the picture suggests, I would be more inclined to think that the burner tubes might be a bit blocked, although it could be some carbon in the underside of the jet as well.
    I would suggest removing the burner from the spirit cup joint and inserting a length of multi strand copper cable or a frayed end of cycle brake cable into the galleries, twisting it as it goes. Some might suggest having the cable in a drill but I have not tried that!
    Apparently these outer galleries are the ones that build up the most carbon.
    Tap to remove loosened debris, then refit to stove with jet removed and flush it through under pump pressure.
    I also find that when the burner is running hot, tapping the sides of the galleries will dislodge flecks of carbon and you may need to remove the jet again to remove more debris from under it.
