    Hello Gentlemen,
I recently found a Tilley sports kit with a stove and lantern. I’m trying to replace the leaky seal on the control spindle on the stove but after I unscrew the knurled nut i can’t get the control to pull off. How does this come off to access the seal? Does it just pull off or unscrew? IMG_4295.jpeg

It unscrews anti-clockwise Doug. Grips and a slip of rubber to protect the control knob.

    Here’s a video I did to demonstrate, coincidentally on a CS56.

The narrow grips to hold the spindle aren’t really necessary, but it relieves torque otherwise absorbed by the mechanism, which is pretty robust to be honest.
