My kettles has started breeding. A rapid boil kettle popped up locally.
It’s either a chrome over copper or non-magnetic stainless steel one. It has no markings on it anywhere.
It has a plastic rather than wooden handle. it weighs 150g more than the the Lee & Wilkes one and despite the added mass was slightly faster to come to the boil. I suspect that that is due to the tighter coils of the base on the chrome one. IMG_5952.jpeg IMG_5953.jpeg IMG_5954.jpeg IMG_5955.jpeg IMG_5956.jpeg IMG_5959.jpeg IMG_5961.jpeg

Very shiny! Regardless of how long they might take to boil water, they just look so right on top of a pressure stove. I too have recently discoved that vintage kettles are almost as addictive as stoves!

Nice chrome on copper in perfect condition. Looks like same pattern as my old Linaglow Heat Master (similar to one in this thread) but with the luxury of the chrome finish too:thumbup:

Why are these (or something similarly efficient) no longer made when people still cook on gas in their homes?

Nice kettle but I prefer the Thompson Ritchie myself.
