Hello all. Kinda new to this forum. Can anyone who has a 425B kindly post an accurate measurement in inches? I see a few on oldcolemanparts.com and need to replace the one my brother lost in the boy scouts in the 70's. I inherited it from my father who purchased it in the early-mid fifties. Still works great but always have had to lay a grate on top.
I get 16 5/8 x 10 11/16 on both of mine. This one is correct. The grate is not attached to the stove, which is how your brother managed to lose it. Cheers, David
Thanks David! Wow beautiful stove! Someday I'd like to recondition my 425B. Perhaps this winter. Could you point to any sites(or sections of this site) that gives advice on how to go about this? brushes, paint color and type, decals, etc.
Mike at OCP has rebuild instructions here. I believe these were written by Frank Bebb. There is a lot of information specific to Coleman on the Coleman Collectors Forum, including recommended paint colors in the how-to section. The forum is heavy on lanterns but there is plenty of stove info too. Good luck with your stove!
