I have a near mint condition Coleman No.530 A47 that my grandfather gave me. I am not sure where he got it but he was in the Army and is a WWII vet. I am not sure I want to use it. I would like to know what they are worth? Any Ideas? Thanks

Hi and welcome to the site. Not an Army stove, if that is part of your question. It should still be worth something to you, especially if you knew your grandfather. And, there is a decent chance you could get it running.
To you.... it's a stove from your grandfather so, it means something. With that, it means that it is worth something (to you). An item like this for sale is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Ask anyone here on CCS with the same stove what they paid for theirs. I have one and didn't pay that much for it even with postage. If I were you I would clean it, service it, and use it once in a while. Even if its only to brew a coffee on your grandfathers birthday. You will get far more pleasure from that than what could be the equivalent to several beers...and once they have gone you have nothing.
I'd go with Lanevit's opinion, service it, fire it up for a brew in remembrance of your grandfather once in a while. cheers and welcome to the forum. Ron
Me three. These are amazing stoves. Because the pot support is stainless steel and quality nickel plated founts, they don't show use like other stoves. You can use this one daily, and it really won't show. Enjoy it. Mike
These are indeed a great stove. Built like a tank, and much more reliable than any tank I've ever heard of. (father in law was a tank commander in WWII) Valuing one by looking on ebay though is bound to confuse anyone. I got mine for 10% or 12% of the prices I see people paying on ebay by simply walking into a few second hand stores and asking the right questions. The prices on ebay are influence by very rich foreign buyers who are mostly either buying on spec or for a private collection, or scam artists. Ebay buying and selling is also fraught with scams, distraught purchasers/sellers trying to get their money back or worse. Finding one "in the wild" is much more satisfying and the hunt is part of the game. YMMV
I had never seen one, then saw 3 in a week. Got one at an antique shop in Flagstaff, AZ, and she didn't know it was a stove. Saw one at an old store here in town, as a display item. Then I traded an MSR Whisperlite for one last week. I have burned both. They are different than other Coleman stoves. There is plenty of info about using them, I really like the ones I have. Parts are available, too. I would suggest replacing the fuel cap gasket for one. An o-ring from auto parts store will suffice, i got one from NAPA. Not bad for a 65 yer old stove. Ken in NC
You can easily get new parts from oldcolemanparts.com, you will need a new fuel cap seal and a new pump leather wouldnt hurt. With a little luck the check valve wont need any fuss.
