We've already established a colour for the Optimus 111
    Ford Cosmos Blue from Halfrauds

Here are some other colours that I've used, obtained from good old B&Q.

For my Tilley Lamps I've used
    Plasti-kote Metallic Range 454 Brass

    For my FL6 floodlight
    Plasti-kote Metallic Range 621/451 Silver

    For my Green Bialaddin/Vapalux lamps
Plasti-kote Gloss super Range 1126 Lawn Green

I'm not saying that these are 'the' colours to use. They're the ones that I've used and I think they're pretty close. At least as close as I could get off the shelf. One can get spray paint mixed to ones requirements but I think it's a bit pricey.
The true colour doesn't come out until you spray over with lacquer.
If anyone else tries these colours I'd value your feedback.

I wonder if that kind forum member holds the unofficial world record for getting the largest number of FL6's to move around the country simoultaneously ;)

    Cheers, Steve

I haven't had a problem as yet with the paint but then I haven't had it alight that much.
I think it's one of those try it a sees.

As to the world record it only stands at 3.
    1 more to go
Colins coming down for the weekend to pick his up. Should be good. All the family are going away. I've got a box of stoves and lamps that need fettling, a fridge full of beer, a rack full of wine and a decent take away curry house around the corner. :D

    YEEESSS !!

I was under the impression that it is me that is bringing ironmongery for you to fettle !
The Metaxa is something I plan to fettle single-handed so don't worry about that particular little problem. I have a feeling it's gonna be a good one.

I've just started re-spraying my Optimus 8R. I've found that the Ford colour "Blue Haze" looks quite close to what my 8R was before. The electrolytic rust removal removes paint just as well. I peeled the old paint off and took a piece to match to the spray.

Does any body know of a good match, available in UK, for the green Optimus 111.
I have a 111 and the original colour appears to be very much like this:

Where do you find the 111's with a green box? Very nice indeed.

Jason UK appears to have one which looks like mine ought to look.
