Hi, Made by Diamond "British Made". Rather an Ugly item but very useful when weight and room is an issue. The Kettle has a 7.25 inchs base and with the lid is only 3 inches high and .25 inches forms a rim to stop the kettle sliding off the stove. 1.5 pint capacity when boiling water or it will carry just short of 2 pints if used for transporting water. Could be used to carry water when traveling using the spout to drink from or even a hot water bottle to warm up the sleeping bag The large base catches all the flame when a stove is burning at it's maximum out put. The Kettle sitting on my 210 special with No 4 burner to give you some idea of the size of this ugly kettle. Well thought out and a pleasure to own
Form follows function with this little gem. I don't find it ugly at all; it does exactly what it was designed to do. Excellence of function is a beauty all its own.
I'm with Sparky; I like it too. They might have made the spout vertical so it didn't stick out so much. I saw, on US ebay a few years back, what appeared to be a round alu canteen that had been made into a kettle. I've always regretted not buying it.
