Another twin burner range of Swedish origin to go with my Primus stoves but with a Southern European twist! I'm thinking this is an Optimus 182 that has been refurbished with Hipolito regulated burners. Any idea how old it might be? The square trivets are stamped with the word OPTIMUS and MADE IN SWEDEN but this is rather crude compared to the script on the nickel-plated tanks. The fuel level indicators appear to be functional. The Hipolito stamped burners and caps have matching Hipolito marked control spindles and the sea horses are very neat! It needs a good clean up! The original leaflet is very fragile.
Wow Steve! You sure do find some pretty stoves over there I'm looking forward to your restoration. Chrome again or are you going to spring for some real bling? Cheers B
@Caveman! Hi Bernie! Not sure about this one...Maybe just a good clean up for now and then fire it up. I might consider replating the trivets and a coat of paint down the track. The newspaper in the bottom of the box was from 1976 but I'm thinking its much older than that especially going by the instruction leaflet.
