    @Dean yes I have projects 2 and 3 lined up but they are not stoves. 3 is a paraffin lamp that I have not seen yet; I think it is paraffin, probably 60s. 2 is Grandad's paraffin blow torch.

    I've not done the two mug test yet but will report results when I do. Also falling asleep before dark so flame pictures will have to wait a little while. Will get them and post.

    @hikerduane I thought I was going to mess up drilling for the extractor, I started with a 7mm drill but that was snatching badly. So I went for a 4mm pilot but I couldn't be sure that was central. Then I discovered these drill bushes fit nicely in an Optimus pump tube.

    Everything central I pilot drilled, then increased to 7mm and got a good size extractor on the valve. It came out easy.
