Here is my newly acquired 8r. It's been stripped back to bare metal, sprayed in silver metallic engine enamel/lacquer and given a good clean up and service.
Thanks for the comments Guys! I fancied a change from the traditional colour. This was a car shop heat resist/durable engine lacquer. Pretty good stuff, no primer needed.
Nice job. I reacently did the same job on my 8R. As for the date on your stove I have seen no other comment so I'll give mine as best as I know. I beleve that the 123R regulating key did not show up on the 8R until the 1980s. I have read somewhere else on this forum that it was in 1983. Any further input? Rick
