Paint can rocket stove

    Made this and gave it a run, boiled up 2 litres of water, not winning any speed races but its only burning sticks and playing with fire is a fun change from liquid fuels.
    It got the kettle whistling and im sure a pot or pan and you could cook up a good feed from sticks no problem, its just a 4 litre paint can and some muffler pipe and pumice stone for insulation. And it was raining. 1280219573-rocket_can.jpg 1280219586-rocketcan.jpg

    Good looking stove that burns free fuel and I like the handle. I have one made from a coffee can with vermiculite for insulation...it'll percolate a 5 cup coffee pot in just under 8 minutes with a skirt around the pot.

    Watties was the main food canning company in New Zealand and quite independent till it was bought by Hienz a few years back.Now they produce the same low quality everyone else has put up with for years
