Primus Trivets

    good day to all just picked up from a swap meet ,with a handfull of stoves , a bronze primus trivet .It was covered in black paint and with a clean uncovered the material , could any one offer me some idea of age please

    Well now ive seen it all ,first let me apologise to members out there, The trivet is not bronze but covered with an extremely hard bronze coloured paint ,that could not be removed with my bead blaster with glass beads , it has been removed and the usual cast iron is revealed . still shaking head as to the hardness of the coating . have a nice day people robert m

    Are you sure it wasn't an enamelled coating?

    blew it again , needed to write down chemical reactions to see what happens , it is a bronze trivet from the early Primus years , thanks guys for the reply but did my own chemistry and found the results of what happens with bronze and certain acids

    No Alec, it was just the strange reaction of glass beads and certain acid cleaners thanks
